Vision For Kendrapara

Kendrapara, located in the Central Coastal Plain of Odisha, has long beena district of historical, cultural, and ecological significance. Known for housing the first and oldest municipality of the state—symbolizing theearly roots of self-rule—and excelling in the field of education, Kendrapara has consistently stood ahead of many districts. Its natural richness, including the Gahirmatha Marine Sanctuary and the revered Baladev Jew Temple, places it on both the ecological and spiritual map of India. Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda envisions a Kendrapara that stands as a model of sustainable growth, empowered communities, and robust governance. His vision prioritizes infrastructure development, employment generation, and social welfare—while preserving the district’s ecological wealth. Under his leadership, the district has witnessed improved infrastructure, enhanced connectivity through the construction of key bridges, access to clean drinking water, and increased benefits from central schemes. His efforts have also ensured stronger state and central funding for Kendrapara’s upliftment. To position Kendrapara as an industrial and economic hub, Jay Panda has championed the proposal for an industrial corridor connecting Dhamra and Paradip ports and has actively pursued the doubling of the Haridaspur–Paradip rail line. These projects are set to bring significant investments and employment opportunities to the region. Shri Jay Panda’s approach has always remained people-centric. He has consistently worked at the grassroots level, ensuring that development reaches every household. His vision continues to sow the seeds of long-term growth, environmental preservation, and prosperity.
